ABOUT HOMESCHOOLER HAPPENINGS
FUTURE SCHEDULE
Geometric Collage Creations
October 23, 2024 from 10AM to 12NOON
This month’s inspiration is from the exhibition Thought Constructions: Paintings by Lane Banks. The artist’s simple constructions based on numerical rhythms and proportions using industrial colors will give us a great springboard to create our own simple thought constructions. We will be using all types of papers to create collages on canvas for our final masterpiece.
Tales and Treasures
January 22, 2025 from 10AM to 12NOON
January’s inspiration is the current exhibition by artist/illustrator/author Leuyen Pham, Leuyen Came Along. We will be creating our own tales and discovering the treasures of creating our own sketchbooks. From the artist’s original artwork to the pages of a book, what story will you tell? What creatures or characters can you create? What treasures can you uncover?
Revived Reads: Art from Old Books
April 16, 2025 from 10AM to 12NOON
The inspiration for April’s Homeschooler Happenings is the variety of artwork currently on display in our galleries, as well as this month’s Earth Day celebration. There is a great variety of artwork to inspire our creations using recycled materials. We will have fun experimenting with all sorts of mixed media for our own MASTERPIECES! Join the fun!
