You are invited to an evening of dance, music, and performing arts to benefit earthquake victims. In light of natural tragedies, “MUDRA-motion, dance, rhythm, and acrobats” hosts a benefit musical show of Bengali dance drama CHANDALIKA—an epic dance drama written by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore about 100 years ago. The story revolves around the complexities of human nature and its conflicting situation; relating that all human beings are equal and we must not sow the seeds of self-hatred. This production brings people together to cherish life and forget division among humankind. We all are born equal and have the right to nurture our potential and pursue our dreams regardless of our location, color, religion, gender, ethnicity, and more. Artists and community members are joining together to produce this unique event to shed light on daily struggles, social norms, and the division of society. The story is a great reminder to be passionate and advocate for societal equality. MUDRA features divine Middle Eastern music by Nisreen Hajaj (renowned vocalist) and Omar Abbad (an oudist maestro). Come and support us raising funds for the victims of recent natural disasters.
