Internships
The City of Irving accepts applications for interns to provide support for the daily operations of the Irving Arts Center’s KidsArts Summer Camps. This involves working closely with Arts Center staff, professional art educators and other interns to assure children and teens have a fun, safe and enriching experience while attending the camp program. Positions are posted in spring for summer employment.
Application Process
Irving Arts Center does not accept applications directly. To be considered for all positions, including internships, applications must be submitted via the City of Irving’s Employment Opportunities webpage.
Summer Internships – Apply Today!
Want to put your skills to the test? The Arts Center employs several interns each summer to support the KidsArts summer camp program. Interns work closely with Arts Center staff and professional art educators to provide a fun and enriching experience for children and teens. Interns also organize, design and install the annual KidsArts/Kids’ Works art exhibition featuring campers’ creations.
QUALIFICATIONS – Current enrollment in college and returning as a full-time undergraduate for the fall semester following the summer of employment. Major in a visual or performing arts discipline, arts management, museum studies and/or education. Experience working with school-age children and/or in a museum setting is preferred.
