2023 In-Person Theatre Camp for Ages 7-14
Kids ages 7-14 will learn and develop skills in acting, improvisation, singing, movement, writing, production, adaptation and much more with instruction from Chicago’s own award-winning Child’s Play Touring Theatre. After a week honing their craft, campers will stage a final performance for friends and family that includes plays, songs and dances created from the stories and poems written by the campers themselves as well as some of Child’s Play’s favorite repertory pieces.
Theatre Camp 1

Enrollment Fees: Tuition is $225
Camp Hours: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7-14
Camp Capacity: 60 students
Final Performance: Friday, June 30 @ 6PM*
*Please note: Students must be able to attend rehearsal during camp hours and be available to perform the evening of the final performance.
Description: This week-long theater camp provides a full day of activities for 60 children divided by ages into four acting companies.
Child’s Play Touring Theatre professional theatre artists will lead students through this unique experience that encourages ensemble building, self-esteem and problem solving.
Students will learn and develop skills in acting, improvisation, singing, movement, writing, production, adaptation and much more!
Students rehearse and stage a final performance that includes plays, songs and dances created from the stories and poems written by the campers themselves as well as some of Child’s Play’s favorite repertory pieces.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for IAC Summer Art Adventures art and theatre camps. Scholarships are awarded for one camp per recipient.
The deadline for priority consideration is May 12.
Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and awards will be made based on availability. (The last day to receive applications is July 7, 2023.)
