JumpstART (2-8 yrs)

Free story time followed by a themed art project. This project is presented by the Irving Arts Center and Irving Public Library. Star story-teller, Donita Maligi from Irving Public Library, starts JumpstART with a book and a movement activity. Following story time, children participate in a themed art project.  Suitable for children ages 2-8. All supplies provided. Groups of 10 or more must pre-register by calling (972) 252-7558 x1226.

March 4 - The Stinky Cheese Man
Laugh along with the Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. Story time is followed by a themed art project. The Arts Center will also present two shows of The Stinky Cheese Man, featuring the Paul Mesner Puppets on March 17.

April 1 - Tales from China and India
The Chinese and Indian cultures are full of life, color and excitement. Explore these unique cultures through a story time, art project and two exhibitions, Within the Emperor's Garden: The Ten Thousand Springs Pavilion and Photographs of India by Hugh Adams.

May 6 - Celebrating Moms
Celebrate Mother's Day! Enjoy stories about mom and create a special gift.
