  • The deadline for scholarship applications for the 2010 Summer Camp Program is April 23, 2010 (postmarked or hand-delivered).
  • Eligibility for a scholarship is based on need and merit.
  • Priority will be given to first-time applicants. Returning applicants will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Priority consideration will be given to applicants who are Irving residents.
  • All parents or legal guardians seeking a scholarship for their children must complete the Irving Arts Center Summer Camp Scholarship Application. Click here to download the application form or contact the administrative office at (972) 252-7558.
  • Camp preference should be noted on the application. Please note dates, times and age requirements when making a selection. Click here for a complete list of summer camps or contact the administrative office at (972) 252-7558.

  • In addition to the application, a letter of recommendation from a classroom teacher, school principal or qualified professional must also be submitted.
  • Irving Arts Center staff will review applications and make recommendations; scholarships are then awarded by the Irving Arts Board at the regularly scheduled Board meeting in May.
  • Parents will be notified by mail and/or email of an award by May 24, 2010.
  • Students that receive a scholarship, but fail to regularly attend classes or drop out of camp will be ineligible to receive tuition assistance for the next cycle.
